Where can I get makeup in this place? The supply in the house is running low.

About twenty feet taller, silver, and the finest mechanical construction the Autobots had to offer.

I see. A shame that I can't see it in its original form.

Oh, it really is. It's a shame no one here can see it... but that's the town's fault entirely...

And I was so much prettier too.

Machines do have an enduring beauty that organic matter has a hard time keeping up with. When something wears out you replace the part and polish it back up to its old shine, effectively creating immortality, while when the same thing happens to a human... well, it's more difficult to repair, we'll say.

Maybe that's true for pure machines. But, even Autobots get old. Worn out... No replacements for the spark.

Fortunately, I'm in my prime.

What part of you contains the spark? Is it centralized like a human brain, or is it integral to all of your parts?

Um... both?

It's in our chests, but... we need it. It's who we are.

Oh, naturally; that isn't what I meant. What I meant was that, say... getting a new arm wouldn't actually change anything except bodily function. That's how humans are; the only problem is that you can't just build new parts for them.

Oh. Well. We can snap the limbs back in sometimes, if they're torn off. But after a certain point, things just... get old. Worn down.

Sad but true. But it takes longer for you, doesn't it?

Much longer. The old timer's got to be at least a hundred million years old. Or something.

And he's still going strong. When his joints don't lock up.

[...Holy shit.]

...That's amazing.

He certainly thinks so. On a good day, he's damned proud of his age.

Cranky, creaking, and liable to blow your head off with his cannons.

Sounds like a few people I know. Much younger, though.

If they're organic, they'd have to be. Otherwise, I'd be concerned.

I would be fascinated, personally. Though they likely wouldn't last very long before someone catches them and takes them apart to see how they did it.

Anyone living that long would clearly have some sort of trick up their sleeve.

[That whooshing sound is the point, flying far over Dist's head]

... Right then. Of course they would.
