[Dist looks up and nods, picking up two stapled-together sheets of paper.]

It's naturally very comprehensive, intended for the brand new. You might well learn something, however! My reports are extremely thorough.

[Dist grins and picks up the box, pulling out both items and their receivers. He flips the watch over, gesturing at a glyph on the back that wasn't there before.]

The watch is made partially with fontech; it was far more efficient in such a small package than trying to cram wires into it, so it's only really half radio parts. It will produce a much clearer transmission, though, and I marked its special receiver so you don't get them confused.

[You never know with some people, and he doesn't know Percy quite well enough to be able to guess, so it's always worth it to have extra measures when handing off precious machinery to someone else. He replaces the watch in the box and picks up a small stuffed cat next, gesturing to the ears.]

For this one, the transmission is picked up here; I sewed a very thin but opaque fabric over them so the microphone is invisible but will produce a clear sound. Very efficient for what I had to work with.

[He puts everything back and hands the box off, grinning somewhat and looking expectant, as though expecting praise.]

It was hard for me to believe too when I first got here ten months ago. I interviewed many people so that the list of events would be as relevant as possible.

A letter? Hmmm....maybe I'll come over and have a look.

Sadly, yes. There were others from my world, but they're gone now. Others have been here over a year; almost two, really.
